to all of the Region 10 club leadership for getting through the
re-charter process. This was my first time dealing with this and
I appreciate everyone's help. I am happy to report that all the
chapters in R10 successfully stayed official chartered IPMS/USA
chapters.
I have finally updated my mailing list, so hopefully this year's officers are getting messages from me (such as they are). As of mid-March 2012 we still do not have any club stepping forward to sponsor a Regional Convention this year. I realize that many of the Colorado clubs are already busy with planning for the 2013 National Convention and Albuquerque hosted last year's event and much of the Phoenix leadership is now involved on the National E-board. That leaves only a few clubs in this four state area to pull something together - soon. See more of my thoughts on this subject here. The next order of business are the chapter awards for 2012. I am looking for clubs to self-nominate themselves for Chapter of the Year and Newsletter and Website of the Year (3 awards). Webmasters and Editors must be IPMS members. I have to turn in my nominations by April 15 so if you think you can convince me your club has done something outstanding, I need to have that info by April 1. That's just a few weeks from now. I will appreciate your help on this. I had the pleasure to be able to attend the CoMMiESFest show in Golden, CO on Feb. 18. Those are a great group of guys and it was a good event.
